Jyotishi, Saraswati J. Miller, draws upon her lifelong Vedic education and couples it with art and psychology, in order to give clients clear insights and tools for bettering their lives. The emotional/psychological realms of Vedic astrology, particularly the moon (Chandra), and the 27 lunar constellations (Nakshatras), are the basis of her work and her daily Jyotish practice.
Saraswati's creative process has included multiple mediums and focuses and includes a great deal of experimentation. As a dancer from an early age, the body has been a primary creative entry point for her; it is the body that informs her other creative processes and life experiences. The body is the greatest tool of awareness. Utilizing physical awareness, coupled with the artistic process, can inform us about the shadowed awareness that often goes unseen. She uses painting and drawing, writing and poetry, spoken word, music and singing, design and jewelry creation, as well as dance, yoga and improvisation as part of her artistic ritual processes.
Much of Saraswati's awareness comes from working within the paradigm of using "art as a healing tool that can bring health and wholeness, clarity and passion, into a person's life". As creators of our own Universe, art has a huge potential to help us create and recreate our experience of life. Feel free to email Saraswati at firstname.lastname@example.org.
